Being involved with such a beautiful Georgian structure as Shiplake House was always going to be a challenge to avoid upsetting the balance of its original design.
Any alterations had to be sympathetic and within the specification of planners in this Grade II listed building and any extension had to be completely in keeping with the original structure to ensure the aesthetic integrity of the house.
Robert Rigby was involved as Project Architect for the initial alteration works prior to his setting up Practice in his own right. Since this time Robert, as Robert Rigby Architects, has subsequently been invited by the clients to assist them on further works to the property.
