Dovercourt Road

Dovercourt Road, Dulwich Village

Our brief for Dovercourt Road was to undertake a re-plan and total makeover of an existing Edwardian semi-detached property set within the Dulwich Village Conservation area.

Due to its location the design proposals not only required full planning consent but also the approval of the Dulwich Management Committee.

The design solution took account of the removal of the existing single storey side storage outrigger and reconfigured the internal ground floor space to reinstate the main reception rooms to their original layout, together with the replacement of a rear conservatory with a more substantial kitchen / breakfast and family room.

We also incorporated an additional shower area at attic level, reconfigured the first floor family bathroom and upgraded internal fixtures and finishes throughout.

The resultant completed project maintains and respects the design ethics of the Dulwich Village Conservation Area, whilst meeting our clients’ ongoing family needs for 21st century living.
